On Sept. 30 from 1-4:30 p.m., Jay White & The Blues Commanders play at an inaugural downtown event called Belton's Bacon, Blues & Brews.

Jay grew up in Belton and recently moved back home with his wife and two sons. He has toured the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, and internationally in Canada and mainland China.

Jay has played with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Jerry Martini of Sly and the Family Stone, Gene Clark of The Byrds and Goldie McJohn of Steppenwolfe.

Jay & The Blues Commanders have had great local, regional and national response for the live show, where they play blues tunes from the album Jaywalkin' 11.

Jay has enjoyed popularity in Finland, Holland and all of the Netherlands as well as New Zealand, Australia and all of Great Britain and Europe, according to a bio distributed by the band.
